President, UNF National Executive

Renata Roman was elected National President of UNF October 2018 in Regina.

Her work in the Ukrainian Canadian community in various leadership capacities at Plast, CCCF, UCEF, UCC Toronto & National, has prepared her for this role. Renata grew up at UNF Toronto West Ukrainian School, Ukrainian dancing and theatre groups, which gave her a strong sense of community.

She completed a degree in Rehabilitation Medicine at University of Toronto in Physical Therapy. She practiced physiotherapy at the 3 clinics that she set up in Mississauga for 35 years.

Renata has been married to Eugene Roman for 37 yrs and they have 2 children, Krystina and William. Together they have built Rosewood Estates Winery in Beamsville, Ontario. She has volunteered in Ukraine with sports teams and medical missions. Presently she teaches Rehab Medicine in Lviv and across Ukraine to a new generation of therapists. Renata is excited by the opportunity to further evolve UNF into the future.
