WELCOME TO CAMP SONIASHNYK
The UNF’s Camp Soniashnyk children’s Day Camp is a program for children ages 6-10 that exposes them to their Ukrainian culture in a fun and interactive way. Camp Soniashnyk Day Camps run all across Canada in July-August at various UNF Branches. Each camp is designed around a specific theme, and the campers are introduced to different aspects of the theme in a creative way each day. Everything from Varenyky making to Ivana Kupala traditions is included along with traditional dancing, singing, story telling as well as outdoor activities like sports and swimming.
CAMP SONIASHNYK AT TORONTO BRANCH
Camp Soniashnyk at Toronto branch has been a summer tradition for over ten years. Our programs follows a weekly theme designed to engage the children in various asects of their Ukrainian Canadian culture and heritage. Our team is fully bi-lingual, and we focus our efforts on integrating all waves of immigration and language ability. As part of UNF Kids (Dorist), children enjoy lessons about their heritage but also about the principles of teamwork, friendship and leadership. We spend our days in the park, at the supervised pool, as well as activities in the Gym, Library and Dance Studio. Our program is created and supervised by an accredited Ontario teacher (B.Ed certified) and is enriching, engaging and educational.REGISTRATION AND INFORMATION
