Camp Sokil 60th Anniversary

The 60th anniversary of Camp Sokil was celebrated on Saturday July 6th during our annual Ivana Kupala festival located in Hawkestone, Ontario. And what an event it was! It was full of traditions like the Vinok Ceremony and Vatra, a concert with dancers from our own Kalyna and Iskra from New Jersey, and headlined by musical guest Vadym Krasnooky from Madheads. Lots of Ukrainian food was provided by The Whole Plate, an extensive group of vendors displayed their items, and children’s games and activities provided fun throughout the day. The day concluded with a zabava, music provided by the band Nervy and a spectacular display of fireworks. All on our beautiful beach on Lake Simcoe.
