UNF is proud to have had our National President, Jurij Klufas, represent us in yesterday’s Toronto meeting with Ukraine’s Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal. Also present from our organization was Slawko Borys, Chairman of Ukrainian Credit Union.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine spoke about the urgent priorities for Ukraine including launching a spring offensive operation against Russian occupying forces and rebuilding of essential services.

UNF joined ranks with UCC, UCU, and a number of other Ukrainian-Canadian organizations as part of a Community Leadership Delegation to signal their ongoing support for Ukraine.

From the two events that I attended: the private meeting with DPM Chrystia Freeland, UCC President Alexandra Chyczij and community representatives in the morning and the open press conference with PM Trudeau at lunch time  it definitely looks like Ukraine is in solid competent  hands. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal was both prepared and in full control of the issues. He broke everything down very ably into immediate defense of Ukraine and long term reconstruction. He described in depth the current activities that are engaged to combat long standing issues of corruption and Russian disinformation!
