Wednesday Nov.29, 2023, in honour of Holodomor we all dressed in our Ukrainian shirts and participated in a simple lunch of soup and rye bread. We listened to a description of the Holodomor Icon and all its various components representing Holodomor (sad faces of the Virgin Mary and Jesus, arm bans worn by both, tears all throughout the border etc.). We recited a prayer for all the victims and had one of our Seniors who survived the Holodomor, speak briefly.
