On September 9, 2023, the Ukrainian-Canadian community came together in Toronto to celebrate the life of the legendary Ron Cahute. As a result of the community’s generous support during this event, $10,000 was raised in Ron’s name for the Pro Patria Fund – a fund that supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This significant donation was made possible through an evening of comedy, dance and music that celebrated Ron Cahute’s extensive and unparalleled contribution to Ukrainian music and culture. The Ukrainian War Veterans Association greatly acknowledges and thanks Mrs. Chrystyna (Binka) Cahute, co-organizer Ms. Anastasia Baczynskyj and everyone who supported the Ron Cahute Tribute Night for Ukraine, for their generosity to designate funds to Pro Patria.
